3 days in Dahab

A fairly lazy time of it for our last three days in Egypt, the first of which included a sleep in (at last) and catching the shuttle into the town where we had a very nice lunch with a few extras arranged for us by Hazim (our guide for those not keeping up). After a leisurely afternoon by the pool, we returned to town and watched Milan beat Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League Final. Milan won 2-1 in a very uninspiring match but watching the poms clear out bloody quick smart after the game brought a smile to my face.
The next day Lina and I went on a glass bottom boat tour with a couple from Melbourne, Halina and John. Most of the group opted out of that tour and the others on offer - they were way too pricey and we think everyone was in full relaxation mode after our 2 weeks together. The boat tour itself was ok - nothing to rave about - but the four of us returned to yesterday's lunch cafe for the best milk shake we've ever had. It was more pulverised ice-cream than milk. Spectacular! It gave us chance to chill with a smaller party for a change too.
The afternoon was spent by the pool and snorkelling off the beach. The water was freakishly clear after 2 days of blowing pretty hard and there was so much fish life a lot of our time was spent pushing them out the way. Well... the jellyfish anyway :)
Final day was spent returning to Cairo and a final dinner with the remainder of the group at a dodgy "Italian" restuarant.
The next morning a few had to leave early to catch flights before ours and it was very sad to see everyone drift off one by one (or two by two)
So ended our time in Egypt and we were looking forward to getting to Montebelluna, Italy to see family and chill for 5 or 6 days.

More to come...
